How is Tempo Boxing different from competitive boxing/kickboxing, aerobic boxing, and other forms of martial arts training?

Tempo Boxing is a blend of all the above. We take the correct striking techniques of competitive boxing and kickboxing and mix them with the aerobic conditioning and fat-loss methods behind boxercize. Tempo Boxing goes a few steps further and throws in the motivation and support that professional athletes get from having an experienced, dedicated and knowledgeable coach.

Will I get punched or kicked during Tempo Boxing classes?

No! Tempo Boxing uses punch mitt techniques to simulate professional punch and kick combinations. All your punches and kicks land on the punch mitts. This allows you to excel without the risk of injury.

NOTE: Anyone who would like try sparring will be allowed to under the watchful eye of their coach and trainer. Please ask you coach about this part of the program to learn more.

Will I be doing any resistance exercises? I want to tone the muscles in my midsection along with other areas of my body.

Yes. Cross fitness is a critical element in every health and exercise program and a major focus of Tempo Boxing. Your sessions will include resistance and endurance training and an emphasis on flexibility. You'll develop balanced, functional strength that enhances your daily life.

 

Do you have any other fitness programs besides Tempo Boxing?

Yes! Tempo Fit is another popular program that focuses on developing functional fitness. This program can be designed to meet any level of fitness, from beginners to elite athletes. Do you want a beautiful, super-fit body and the reflexes and mindset to match? Then this is the program for you.

 

How long will it take for me to lose the excess fat I’m carrying and reach my target weight?

There is no quick fix. The more time you invest in reaching your goals the quicker your results will come. Everything has a process, but the process can be fun and rewarding. Reaching your fitness goals can be the highlight of your day if you are working with the right personal trainer.

Within the first minute of the warm-up he recognized two old injuries. Although I’ve healed fully, only a pro would notice the difference in my movement. I feel comfortable under his guidance because Aaron emphasizes proper form and balance from the start. What’s the point in exercising if you’re just going to injure yourself? We did several rounds of "Tempo Boxing," which uses footwork, core body movement and quick-tempo punching. Again, Aaron was a stickler for form and often corrected my movements. We then did some circuit-training exercises to finish up. The session was grueling but extremely fun. I felt fantastic the rest of the day, and I realized I don’t just want to look good for summer—I want to stay healthy. Tempo Boxing is a good starting point!"
